THE CONCENTRATION OF CASES

The coronavirus disease (Covid-19) has spread to nearly 86% districts of India – at least 631 of more than 700 districts — but the caseload has largely remained concentrated in a select few areas. As on Wednesday, nearly 62% of the cases were reported from only Delhi and nine urban districts. These include areas such as Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Thane, Pune, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata and Jodhpur. By: Vijdan Mohammad Kawoosa
