REGRESSIVE STEP

The Punjab government’s decision to substantially increase the fee for MBBS students in government as well as private medical colleges is a regressive step. This comes amid the Covid-19 pandemic. An expensive medical education will come in the way of attracting talent to the profession and will promote unethical practices. The government must reconsider its decision.
