THREE BOOKED FOR SPREADING FAKE NEWS AGAINST HP EDU MINISTER

SHIMLA : Three people have been booked for spreading fake and defamatory news against Himachal Pradesh education minister Suresh Bhardwaj, police said on Friday. In a FIR filed at Chotta Shimla police station, the education minister’s officer on special duty (OSD) Mamraj Pundir alleged that Manoj Chauhan, Rakesh Zinta and Rakesh Mandotra had published fake and defamatory news in a newspaper which says that Bhardwaj had used his influence to get his niece’s husband appointed as professor at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshal­a. A case under Section 465 and 467 of IPC and Section 67 of Informatio­n Technology (IT) Act has been registered. No arrests have been made so far.
