HIMACHAL HC MOURNS DEMISE OF ITS FORMER CJ
SHIMLA: A virtual full court reference was held on Saturday through video conferencing to mourn the demise of Justice Vishwanathan Ratnam, former chief justice of the Himachal Pradesh high court. Two-minute silence was also observed and proceedings were carried out by registrar general Virender Singh through video conferencing. Justice Vishwanathan Ratnam, who died on May 23 at the age of 87 in Chennai, had served as the chief justice of Himachal Pradesh high court from January 29, 1994 to July 31, 1994. He had also held an additional charge of governor of Himachal Pradesh from July 10, 1994 to July 30, 1994.
