Amitabh Bachchan sponsored 10 buses for 300 of Mumbai’s migrants, in associatio­n with the city’s Mahim and Haji Ali dargahs. The actor made provisions for water, food and snacks for the migrants. Such sweet gestures are applauded!

As the world pays tribute to Covid-19’s frontline responders, artist Jorge Rodriguez Gerada has painted a 20,000 sq ft mural of Dr Y del fonso Decoo (70), in New York, USA, to honour immigrant healthcare workers who lost their lives. Deco died of Covid-19 complicati­ons while serving his patients.

GRANNY’S MOVES SHAKE UP THE INTERNET

Ruth Rudd, an 88-year-old grandmothe­r from Kiddermins­ter, England, is TikTok’s latest dancing sensation. Her energetic performanc­e and groovy moves outside her house, captured by her granddaugh­ters, got nearly 30 million views. She plans on making more videos and doesn’t mind people laughing at her dancing. Lockdown is all about hidden talents being showcased and young kids (oops, old ones too!) getting viral!

MIZO TRAIN PASSENGERS WIN HEARTS

Mizoram’s Chief Minister Zoramthang­a recently shared a video on Twitter that captures the human spirit. In the video, good samaritans from Mizoram are seen tossing food packets along the railway track for floodhit persons in Assam. The video, uploaded by Emanuel Ralte, is winning hearts on the internet. The CM shared it with a biblical quote, “Owe no man anything, but to love one another”!
