Salons, spas to open in Punjab today
CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government on Sunday issued fresh guidelines for the next phase of lockdown, starting on June 1 and allowed opening of barber shops, beauty parlours and spas in the non-containment zones. Shops in main bazars will be open between 7 am and 7 pm, and liquor vends can remain open from 8 am to 8 pm.
Also, in line with the Centre’s guidelines for ‘Unlock 1.0’, chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh ordered formulation of clearly defined norms for opening up of hotels, hospitality services, malls, places of worship, and restaurants for dine-ins, from June 8.In containment zones, however, only essential activities will be allowed and there will be a strict perimeter control.
In non-containment zones, the movement of individuals for all the non-essential activities shall remain prohibited between 9pm to 5am.
E-commerce is now permitted in Punjab for all goods, including non-essential, as per the latest guidelines.
