ANIMAL CARCASS INCINERATOR DRAWS OPPOSITION

CHANDIGARH: Residents of Sector 38W, Dadumajra and Sector 25 have started protesting against the MC’s move to set up an animal carcass incinerator in Sector 25W. President of the Sector 38W resident body Pankaj Gupta said the sector was already plagued with foul smell from the garbage dump in Dadumajra. Sector 25W councillor Sheela Devi said, “I have written to the UT adviser, the MC commissioner and the UT administrator. A meeting of residents will be held on Monday, she said. Chandigarh Congress president Pradeep Chabbra also opposed the decision.
