TRADERS DEMAND RELAXATIONS
CHANDIGARH: As the Centre’s instructions to shorten curfew hours from 9pm to 5am will come into effect from Monday, the Chandigarh Beopar Mandal (CBM) has written to the administration, demanding relaxation in shop timings. Charanjiv Singh, CBM chairman, said shops should be allowed to open till 8pm. He added that shopkeepers should also be allowed to open shops on Sunday. CBM president Anil Vohra said letters had been sent to all officials including UT adviser, deputy commissioner and MC commissioner. “We have been assured the issue will be discussed in war room briefing on Monday,” he said.
