If India, Russia, Australia, and South Korea all attend the G-7 summit as special invitees, dropping China, the country will be forced to reconsider its aggressive expansionist tendencies. Even as the international community is holding China accountable for its specious handling of Covid-19, China has intensified incursions into Indian territory. It is also trying to control autonomous regions such as Taiwan and Hong Kong and making contentious advances in the South China Sea. Reportedly, Chinese IT companies have been violating internet users’ privacy. It has also installed a 5G tower at the lower base Mount Everest. Global leaders must take strict note of its activities.
