THE VILLAIN FORMULA

How is it that the most powerful democracy of the world, which elected a black man as its president for two consecutive terms, is witnessing widespread dissent? Crude power- seekers are at the helm and their vote-bank politics is devoid of ethics. A section of society is dubbed villainous, as if solely responsible for all problems plaguing the nation. Trump came to power by projecting immigrants, the backbone of USA’s economy, as the reason behind unemployment. Now, to win the sympathy of white fundamentalists, he is painting African Americans as villainous. Is it possible that he has been taking notes from Indian politics?
