AYE TO JOINT SESSION OF PARLIAMENT

Apropos, the editorial ‘Convene Parliament, now’ (June 2), though the Supreme Court can adjudicate on the constitutional validity of the government’s actions, yet democracy warrants that the Parliament collectively debate and decide. As such the monsoon session needs to be convened early. Instead of using the Central Hall for Lok Sabha sittings, and holding Rajya Sabha sittings in the Lok Sabha chambers, it will be better to call a joint session with all members and officials in protective gear.
