MOOSE WALA CASE: DSP’S SON GETS BAIL

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab and Haryana high court on Thursday granted bail to Jungsher Singh, an accused in FIRs registered by Punjab police against singer Sidhu Moose Wala shown in a video firing from an official assault rifle. Singh is son of deputy superinten­dent of police (DSP), Daljit Singh Virk, who was allegedly accompanyi­ng the singer during these firing incidents. The high court granted bail observing that that firing from the weapon has not been attributed Singh and further he was not in a position to grant or refuse permission to the police officials who had accompanie­d him at the site of shooting.
