HP SEES SIX CASES, 1 DEATH

SHIMLA/DHARAMSHAL­A : Himachal’s Covid-19 tally climbed to 451 as six more people tested positive for the virus on Wednesday. Three cases were reported from Kangra, two cases from Sirmaur and one from Solan district. Now, there are 184 active cases in the state as five patients have recovered. A 53-year-old woman from Hamirpur died due to the virus at IGMC, Shimla, on Wednesday, taking the death toll to six.

Special secretary (health) Nipun Jindal said the woman had returned from Delhi on May 28. “She was suffering from renal failure and her condition deteriorat­ed at the quarantine centre. She was shifted to IGMC on June 4 where she tested positive for the virus. Her grandson has also tested positive on Tuesday,” he said.
