EPIDEMIC CALCULATOR
Scientists have generated, using publicly available data, calculators to estimate the spread of a virus in a region. One such calculator (gabgoh.github.io/covid) implements a SEIR (Suspectible-Exposed-Infected-Removed) model. Another was designed by the UK’s Imperial College to determine the size of the epidemic, the total numbers of deaths and doubling rates. Such calculators implement models that allow use of multiple data sets. This enables authorities to establish strategies to control Covid-19.
