The incubation period of a disease refers to the number of days between a person gets infected and the when she or he start exhibiting symptoms. The incubation period can be a major factor for health authorities establishing quarantine periods and facilities. While there is no established incubation period for Covid-19, studies have shown that the mean incubation period generally varies between 2 and 14 days. In some rare cases, there have been reports of it exceeding 24 days as well.
