GUHA’S LIBELLOUS COMMENT

The Gujarat model of development is globally recognised and as such the Gujaratis don’t need any historian, commentator or advocate to certify how culturally and economically prosperous they are. Ramachandra Guha’s quote labelling Gujaratis ‘economically advanced, culturally backward’ is libellous. He must issue a public apology and retract his statement, which was tantamount to divisive trolling of one community.
