HOLD SYNDICATE MEET: PBI VARSITY TEACHERS

PATIALA: The Punjabi University Teachers’ Union has demanded to hold a special Syndicate meeting to resolve persisting financial issue. PUTA secretary Gurnam Singh Virk said the crisis is deepening and despite all efforts, the varsity administration has not arranged funds for releasing May-month salaries till sate. PUTA president Jaswinder Singh Brar said there is no official communiqué from university about status of salary. “It is strange that they hold just two or three meeting in a year. Not holding Syndicate meet regularly has cost the varsity dear,” he said.
