FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND: PPCB LAUNCHES PROJECT TO TREAT WASTE­WATER

KA­PURTHALA: : Pun­jab Pol­lu­tion Con­trol Board (PPCB) chair­per­son SS Mar­waha in­au­gu­rated a ‘in-situ re­me­di­a­tion project’, first of its kind in the state, on Bhu­lana drain in Ka­purthala on Saturday to treat waste­water. The PPCB has de­vel­oped the low-cost model of in-situ re­me­di­a­tion to treat the waste­water. Bhu­lana drain car­ries waste­water of 27 colonies and it con­verges into Holy Bein. The project will help in im­prov­ing wa­ter qual­ity of Holy Bein.
