EX-CPS NEERAJ BHARTI BOOKED FOR SEDITION

SHIMLA: The CID wing of Himachal Pradesh Police on Saturday booked Congress leader and former chief parliamentary secretary (CPS) Neeraj Bharati for sedition for his social media post against PM Modi. SP Khushal Sharma confirmed that a case under Section 124A of the IPC was registered at CID police station in Shimla. Bharti, in a series of Facebook posts, expressed doubts over the violent face-off between India and China at Galwan Valley in which 20 Indian soldiers were killed. In one post he said incident may be orchestrated due to Bihar polls.
