40GM GOLD, JEWELLERY LOOTED FROM AMRITSAR SHOP
AMRITSAR: Four miscreants looted gold and jewellery worth around Rs 1.5 lakh at gun point from two workers of a jewellery-shop-cumresidence at Guru Bazaar about 1pm on Sunday. Police said the men, with their faces covered, had arrived at the shop on a motorcycle and on a Honda Activa scooter.
The loot happened on the third floor.
THREATENED AT GUNPOINT: WORKERS
Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) central Parvesh Chopra, who reached the crime spot after the incident, said, “Workers say that on being threatened with a gun, they handed over 40gm old gold belonging to customers, a chain and a ring to the miscreants. We have scanning CCTV footage of the market to identify the accused.”
A case has been registered under Section 379-B (theft by force) against the accused.
