Excise inspector held in missing liquor case
ROHTAK: The SIT probing the case of liquor gone missing from a Kharkhauda godown on Sunday arrested excise inspector Dherender Kumar, who was posted at Fatehabad.
Sonepat SP Jashandeep Randhawa said the excise inspector, who was transferred from Sonepat to Fatehabad five months ago, was arrested for helping kingpin Bhupinder Singh in smuggling the illicit liquor.
“During his remand, Bhupinder also revealed that the inspector never took any action against him and even gave him a clean chit in the liquor case. The inspector had also stored the liquor recovered from the Kharkhauda godown. We have secured his two-day police remand,” the SP added. HTC
