ONE-POT INNOVATIONS
Meal-time innovations were onepot meals – for example, a an egg-sausage muffin done in a tray or a simple tehri (a rice and vegetable dish) in a saucepan or pressurecooker -- to save on washing up and the imaginative recycling of leftovers such as roast / fried chicken had at dinner-time shredded to go in between a breakfast sandwich or a roll; mashed potato as the burger patty; spiced pudding or kheer with leftover rice.
