Even as the world marks June 21 as the In­ter­na­tional Yoga Day, it is es­sen­tial that we prac­tice it through­out the year, in­stead of just the one day. Yoga can prove to be an ef­fec­tive tech­nique to fight the stress that the covid-19 pan­demic has brought into our lives. With stress lev­els at their peak, the prac­tice of yoga on a reg­u­lar ba­sis can help us main­tain both men­tal and phys­i­cal fit­ness. Yoga sym­bol­ises traits like pa­tience, har­mony, tol­er­ance, peace, agility, and ac­cep­tance, there­fore, the world needs yoga now more than ever.
