Apropos the editorial, ‘Restoring India’s case credibility’, China can hardly be expected to be accountable for its actions to other nations when the autocracy is not answerable to its own people. It also does not want to declare war as the use of the nuclear option will turn the world into a graveyard with no victors or losers. The border scuffle with India is an attempt to keep the pot boiling and stall India’s development. The only way to take on China is to call for immediate intervention of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and request for the appointment of an observer, if we are confident of our stand.
