POLICE DEPT OBSERVES ANTI-DRUG DAY
CHANDIGARH : The Punjab Police on Friday destroyed several quintals of illicit drugs at various places across all the state to mark International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. Director general of police (DGP) Dinkar Gupta said teams took over the task of destroying 62kg of heroin, 326.52 quintals of poppy husk, 12 kg charas, 755kg smack and 148kg intoxicant powder, among other narcotics. The DGP reiterated the department’s commitment to eliminate drugs from Punjab.
