PUNJABI SINGER PREET HARPAL APOLOGISES TO AKAL TAKHT
AMRITSAR: Punjabi singer Preet Harpal on Friday tendered an apology to the Akal Takht for a song he sung on the social media, which was termed objectionable by the Sikh community. In the song, he mentioned Guru Nanak. The manner he mentioned Guru Nanak was opposed on the social media. Harpal visited Akal Takht secretariat with a written apology and handed it over to the personal assistant of acting jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh. In the letter, he wrote, “I did not intend to hurt anyone. Being a Sikh, I respect the Guru and cannot think of desecrating him.”
