HIGHEST ONE-DAY SPIKE IN GOA

PANAJI: Goa witnessed its highest single-day spike in Covid-19 cases with 89 persons testing positive on Saturday, surpassing the previous high of 71 cases recorded in early June. The spike in cases comes as 24 cases have been reported from Zuarinagar, Goa’s largest slum cluster. The spike in cases has taken Goa’s total positive cases to 1,128 with the state having crossed the 1,000 mark on Friday.
