SACRILEGE OF QURAN: FIR IN AMBALA

AMBALA: An FIR was registered after torn pages of Quran were found at Jama Masjid in Nohni village Ambala’s Mullana area on Saturday. “I found some torn pages of Quran when I went to offer prayers. I also found a cupboard open and an amplifier missing,” Anwar, the complainant told the police. Mullana station in-charge Narender Singh said, “An alcoholic might have entered the masjid and committed the crime.” The FIR has been registered under sections 295, 380 and 457 of the IPC.
