PTU PAYS TRIBUTES TO MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH
BATHINDA : Punjab technical university, Bathinda, commemorated the 181st death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh on Monday. The varsity is named after the Sikh emperor. Vice-chancellor Mohan Paul Singh Ishar led the faculty and staff in paying floral tributes to Maharaja Ranjit Singh, who is also called also known as the ‘Sher-e-Punjab’. He also spoke about the ideals of Maharaja and and his empire. He said in a poll conducted by the BBC World Histories Magazine, Maharaja Ranjit Singh was voted as the greatest ruler in the world history.
