- AGENCIES

WASHINGTON: Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden has named Indian-American Medha Raj as his digital chief of staff, a key role in his US election campaign which is going virtual due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Raj will work across all facets of the digital department to streamline and coordinate how to maximise the impact of its digital outputs, the Biden campaign said. Raj had earlier worked for the campaign of former Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, who subsequently quit the race and endorsed Biden. She is based out of the Los Angeles area in Southern California. She was a research assistant for Real Institute Elcano in Spain and a consultant at Deloitte.
