UNITED WE STAND

The editorial ‘This is not the time for politics’ (June 27) echoes the nation’s voice. India is facing a serious security crisis after the Kargil war. The situation is grave as China has better resources and superior defence capabilities. Aware of the twin crises — Covid-19 and economic stress — China violated the line of actual control (LAC) and illegally claimed Indian territory. The nation expects the political class to be responsible and united. Unfortunately, the blame game between the B JP and the Congress knows no end. It is crucial for both sides to present a united face.
