FEMA violations: Jalandhar Cong leader’s house seized
JALANDHAR : The enforcement directorate (ED) seized residential premises of former Jalandhar district (rural) Congress president Sukhwinder Singh Lally at Nangal Shama village for Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) violations. Lally is a close relative of a serving cabinet minister in Punjab, it is learnt. The value of the house is pegged at ₹2 crore. The ED had conducted raids at Lally’s premises on December 6 last year. The ED seized various material and incriminating documents and found that Lally had illegitimately purchased a house in Ontario, Canada.
