SIX STUDENTS OF GOVT SCHOOL, AMONG 18 TEST +VE FOR COVID IN KARNAL

KARNAL: Spread of coronaviru­s continues among school-going children in Karnal as 18 more from different schools have tested positive for Covid-19.

As per the district health department, six students and two teachers of a government senior secondary school at Kachhwa in Karnal were found infected on Thursday.

As per officials from the district education department, the infected students are from Class 9 to 12 and classes have been suspended for the next 10 days. The schools will reopen for students after proper sanitisati­on.

J&K sees 79 new cases SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday recorded 79 fresh coronaviru­s infections taking the total cases to 1,26,772, while the death toll reached 1,959 after a person succumbed to the virus in Kashmir. There are 883 active cases at present. 65 infected in Himachal DHARAMSHAL­A: Himachal Pradesh recorded 65 new infections on Thursday taking the state’s tally to 58,942. No death was reported. Recoveries in the state have reached 57,406 after 20 more people were cured. The active cases have gone up to 540.
