Liquor smuggled from Chandigarh, HP seized in Sonepat

CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Police have seized 5,520 bottles of illicit Indian made foreign liquor in Sonepat when the consignment was being smuggled in a truck to Arunachal Pradesh. Initial probe revealed that the illicit liquor was being smuggled to Arunachal Pradesh from Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. The liquor has a hologram of distilleries at Chandigarh and Sirmaur in HP. A case was registered under the Excise Act.
