US welcomes Danish military boost in Arctic region

COPENHAGEN: US secretary of state Antony Blinken welcomed Denmark’s plans to boost military presence in Greenland and the North Atlantic as part of a $245 million plan. “We share a commitment to Arctic security, we welcome Denmark’s recent decision to invest more... in North Atlantic and Arctic defence, in coordination with the governments of Greenland and the Faroe Islands,” Blinken said.
