774 MORE COVID RECOVERIES IN HIMACHAL

Himachal Pradesh recorded 196 fresh Covid-19 infections on Wednesday taking the state’s tally to 41,364; the death toll mounted to 663 as seven more patients succumbed to the contagion; and the recoveries have reached 33,083 as 774 people were cured on Thursday.

Of the new cases, 59 were reported in Kangra, 47 in Shimla, 39 in Mandi, 17 in Kinnaur, 16 in Solan, seven in Una, five in Chamba, four in Bilaspur, and two in Kullu.

Shimla remains the worst-hit district with 7,503 cases and is followed by Mandi where 6,736 people have tested positive till date. Kangra has 5,401 cases, Solan 5,076, Kullu 3,680, Sirmaur 2,641, Una 2,163, Bilaspur 2,112, Hamirpur 2,103, Chamba 2,005, Lahaul-Spiti 1,087, and Kinnaur 866.

MLA, family test +ve

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator from Bhattiyat assembly segment Bikram Singh Jaryal, his wife, son and nephew have been tested positive for the virus. The MLA urged people who came in their contact in the past few days to get tested.
