CBI SUMMONS DESHMUKH IN GRAFT CASE

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has called former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh for questioning on Wednesday in connection with allegations of corruption levelled against him by former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh and suspended officer Sachin Vaze, officials said.

Vaze, an assistant police inspector, is under investigation in the case of an explosive-laden car found outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence in Mumbai.

The notice was issued on Monday morning.
