- HT Correspondent letterschd@hindustantimes.com :

The war of words between National Conference and the People’s Conference led by Sajjad Lone intensified as both the parties have been blaming each other as BJP’s proxy.

On Tuesday, the People’s Conference chairman Sajjad Lone asked NC president Farooq Abdullah not to sermonise others.

“Islam begins at home. Before Farooq Sahib sermonises others, he should ensure Islam reigns in his own household. Let him first put his own house in order,” PC chairman Sajad Lone said adding that he has never indulged in personal attacks...” “The father and son (Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah) for 24 hours have been dubbing people as A team, B team and C team if they are being asked questions about their 70 year rule.”

Sajjad Lone said he never reacted but time has come to respond them as they have invoked Islam. “Farooq sahib should first tell us whether he follows Islam in his home. First he should set right Islam in his home. I am a Muslim and everything in our house happens under the principles of Islam,” said Sajjad Lone who will be directly locked in contest with Omar Abdullah from Baramulla Lok Sabha seat.

National Conference leadership has been terming Sajjad Lone as the proxy of the BJP and attacking the party on daily basis along with parties of Altaf Bukhari and Ghulam Nabi

Azad.

Sajjad Lone said let they not preach Islam to him.

“They (National Conference) accuse me of siding with a party but they after demolition of Babri Masjid and killing of two to three thousand Muslims they sat with the BJP,” he said.

Sajjad also blamed Farooq for indulging in polarisation and said in the past his China remark helped BJP in Bihar. “He (Farooq Abdullah) has been sent here to create polarisation.”

Almost all the NC leadership especially Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah has been indulging in frontal attack on People’s Conference and even quoting the recent meeting between BJP Kashmir incharge Tarun Chug, Altaf Bukhari and Sajjad Lone at Bukhari’s Srinagar house.

Interestingly, neither BJP not the Apni Party will contest elections from Baramulla Lok Sabha seat wherefrom Sajjad Lone is trying his luck second time to reach the Parliament.

BEFORE FAROOQ SAHIB SERMONISES OTHERS, HE SHOULD ENSURE ISLAM REIGNS IN HIS OWN HOUSEHOLD, SAYS PC CHAIRMAN SAJJAD LONE
