Kriti Sanon has had a positive run at the box office. With most of her films striking a chord with the audience, the young actor is basking in the glory of her recent success with Bareilly Ki Barfi. Ask her if she is open to acting in different industries or platforms, and she says, “I’ve actually done two Telugu films simultaneously when I was doing Hindi films. So

I always feel that the medium, industry, or the language doesn’t really matter. It’s more about the script and the content. These days, the content is the hero of the film. I think only those films that are content-oriented or have a good storyline are working. I am open to anything — language or a new medium — as long as the story and my role are exciting.”

The actor, who has done four films in Bollywood, is now used to the way the industry functions. “I have pretty much gotten used to it. However, I still need to sort of up my stamina because it is a very demanding profession. It’s not as flowery or easy as it looks on the outside. Now that I am a part of the industry; I know how hard it is,” says the Dilwale (2015) actor.

So how does she manage her time? “Time management is something you have to do. Sometimes you have to go rehearse after your shoot is done, then there are brand commitments, fashion shows etc. Also, nowadays, you need to make sure you are looking presentable at most times. There are gym looks and airport looks (laughs). Of course, there are extensive film promotions and social media too. It is a very demanding job. So you need to build your stamina, physically as well as mentally. All attention is on you. I think it is a little difficult to sort of deal with it, but at the same time, if you really love what you are doing and I am really loving every bit of it, then it is fine,” says Kriti.
