In the day and age where television actors are vigorously trying their luck in Bollywood and getting a break, actor Ridhi Dogra, who has been working for a decade in the small screen industry, never got into the rat race.

“I like being a part of the TV industry more. I like to be known as an Indian television face. I don’t like to look down on it. I am aware of its shortcomings. I know there is a divide in what they show on television and what actually is happening in the real world. I enjoy being the person who bridges the gap, I make sure the character is real and people can identify with it,” says Ridhi.

Ridhi, who is married to actor Raqesh Bapat, has certain expectations from the film industry.

“The kind of creative satisfaction that I get from television, I would want that in movies as well. I like exploring as an actor, no matter what the medium it i am happy being part of Indi television. I would like to te people that we are cool and are equally the best,” says t actor, who has been part of shows such as Rishta.com, Savitri and Yeh Hai Aashiqui.

However, the actor accepts that she is still ope to all kinds of good work.

“I want to work in all mediums. I am a kind of a outsider. I don’t really know beyond the casting process what helps you make the cut but apart from that I would want to see myself on a big scree but I don’t think I am missing anything,” she says.

I like exploring as an actor no matter what medium it is. I am happy being part of Indian television. RIDHI DOGRA, ACTOR
