Kartik Aaryan will try to do two films a year now on

Actor Kartik Aaryan, who is basking the success of his last release, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, says he will now try and do at least two films a year.

Much is said about the actor’s surprisingly low frequency of on-screen appearances, with him having done only six films in a career spanning over seven years. Will he continue doing the same? “It was a conscious decision from my side. I think I can concentrate more when I do one film at a time, but now, I will try to do at least two a year,” Kartik adds.

The actor, meanwhile, has grabbed attention with his quirky portrayal of a protective friend to Sunny Singh’s Titu, in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. He has even found a fan in Hrithik Roshan’s mother, Pinky. “I am very happy with the kind of appreciation and compliments I am getting for the film. And getting praise from Hrithik Roshan’s mother is a big compliment for me,” he gushes.

“[Everything] happening right now is surreal for me. I am living my dream, basically,” says the actor, whose portrayal of a henpecked boyfriend in Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011) won him a massive fan following.

Kartik recently walked the ramp with actor Kareena Kapoor Khan at designer Manish Malhotra’s show. Does he fancy starring opposite Kareena in a film sometime? “Of course. Why not? Our show became a big hit, which is good thing to have. Walking with the stunning Kareena was a memorable experience. Hopefully in future, we will work together,” he says.
