‘DURING BREAKS I ANALYSE MY CHARACTER’

Mohit Malik is indebted to TV for helping him fulfil his dreams that he once thought might never work out. He, therefore, takes his craft seriously and shares that he would like to do films only when good offers come his way, or else he is content with the small screen. “Acting in a TV daily soap is like riyaaz for me. My job is to give the best of me between action and cut. I prefer using the break to rehearse my lines and write down the inner world of the character and emotions,” says Malik, adding, “Films are definitely on my mind. But at the same time I can’t connect with actors who degrade television and themselves in the process.”
