Comedian Sugandha’s single to be out soon
Comedian Sugandha Mishra not only has a perfect comic timing but also a mellifluous voice. So, after tickling everyone’s funny bone, Sugandha is now set to release her single. The music will be accompanied by a video for which she has already shot. “It’s a romantic number and I’m not doing comedy (laughs). No one has seen me in this avatar before and I hope people will like me. Music is my strength and I have been trained in it. It’s just that inbetween I concentrated on stand-up [comedy]. But now, I also want to invest more time to music,” says Sugandha, adding that she is planning to come up with more singles after the first one releases next month.
Although Sugandha shot to fame through a singing reality show, fate had different plans and she landed up doing comedy. “I always wanted to have a career in music, but it’s just that things did not work out the way I wanted [them to]... Then my mother told me that I should not let other offers go. So, I decided to take them up. In a way it helped me because now I do sing when I am doing comedy and people love it,” she adds.
Apart from releasing her own singles, Sugandha is also planning to collaborate with other singers. “Benny [Dayal], Neha [Kakkar] and Jubin [Nautiyal] have told me I should work with them and I’m really interested.”
Music is my strength; I have been trained in it. It’s just that in-between I concentrated on stand-up comedy. Now, I want to invest more time to music.
