To cel­e­brate the 210th birth an­niver­sary of Louis Braille, Amway India in col­lab­o­ra­tion with National As­so­ci­a­tion for Blind, Lucknow or­gan­ised var­i­ous ac­tiv­i­ties. Min­is­ter Chetan Chauhan was present as the chief guest for the event held re­cently. Mark­ing it as Braille Day cel­e­bra­tion, they or­ga­nized Braille read­ing-writ­ing and de­bate com­pe­ti­tions amongst the visu­ally im­paired stu­dents of NAB, Lucknow. Around 40 stu­dents par­tic­i­pated in the com­pe­ti­tion. “The main fo­cus of our National Project for the visu­ally im­paired is to em­power and en­able the visu­ally im­paired in­di­vid­u­als by pro­vid­ing them av­enues for in­clu­sive ed­u­ca­tion,” said its se­nior vi­cepres­i­dent GS Cheema.

A week-long NSS pro­gramme was or­ga­nized by Lucknow Uni­ver­sity at Ba­sudev Me­mo­rial Girls’ De­gree Col­lege. Var­i­ous events on so­cial is­sues, nukkad naatak, clothes and first aid boxes dis­tri­bu­tion were held un­der guid­ance of program of­fi­cer Dr Priyanka Chaturvedi and prin­ci­pal Dr Hem­lata Bora.
