‘Jeet Lo Marathon’ on a re-run

-

After taking part in his first Mumbai marathon in 2013, Lucknowite ‘Aryan’ Neeraj Anand decided to make a film related to this sport. He wrote, directed and acted in the film ‘Jeet Lo Marathon’ that was premiered at a city multiplex on Friday.

Produced by Madhu Rani Gupta, the film has been shot in Lucknow, Mumbai and other cities and has captured the Satara Hill, Mumbai and Pune marathon.

“On December 10, we released the film in Lucknow. This is our rerelease and we are doing it simultaneously in other cities of UP, Delhi-NCR, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chandigarh and Uttarakhand,” says Neeraj who is working as deputy manager with the State Bank of India.

The film also has Ankita Bahuguna from Dehradun, Preena and Chandre Marina and all of them are making their debut with the film.

“The film has been sent to various film festivals and has won a few awards too,” says the actor-director. A book by the same name is also up for grabs on the book stores and online portals.

“This is a ‘zero to hero’ story and our humble effort to promote sports. Every individual has one talent or the other and we just need to indentify it. It will surely reap results if our efforts are sincere,” says Neeraj. They have shot the first half-anhour of the film in Lucknow.
