CHRISTAN BALE DOESN’T PLAN OR STRATEGISE ABOUT HIS CAREER

Hindustan Times (Lucknow) - Live - - ENTERTAINMENT -

Academy Award-winning actor Christian Bale, who is known for undergoing physical transformations for his performances, says he likes chaos.

He has delivered demanding performances — whether it was his skeletal frame in The Machinist (2004) or the bulked up built in The Dark Knight Rises (2012), the mentally exhausting role of a sadistic psychopath and a deranged serial killer in American Psycho (2000) or as Dick Cheney in Vice (2018), where he has bulked up and tried prosthetics.

Asked if there is anything else he aspires to do, Bale said, “I have never had a plan or a strategy. I like chaos. So, I wait to see what happens next.”

Bale scored a Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy victory at Golden Globes 2019 for his performance as former US vice president Dick Cheney in Vice. He is also nominated in BAFTA for the same.
