There’s been talk: Michael Douglas on Ant-Man 3
Hollywood star Michael Douglas could be stepping into Hank Pym’s shoes for one more movie — a possible Ant-Man 3.
The actor, however, said nothing is “formal” as of now. ‘‘There’s been talk (about another Ant-Man) ... there’s been nothing formal right now that I know of. They always kind of spring it on me. The first time you hear about it, it’s already in its third rewrite,” Douglas told Entertainment Tonight.
Douglas reprised his role for last year’s superhero film AntMan and the Wasp, which saw Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly play the respective titular characters.
The 74-year-old actor also dodged the question on his appearance in Avengers: End Game, which releases in April. ‘‘You know I can’t say a word about that. They have one of those machines that, as soon as you say the word ‘Avengers,’ a blowgun comes to the side of my neck,” he said.
Actor Ellen Page has called out Guardians of the Galaxy series actor Chris Pratt for attending an “infamously anti-LGBTQ” church.
Pratt, who identifies as a non-denominational Christian, recently appeared on The Late Show, where he told host Stephen Colbert about a recent fast he did through his church, Hillsong.
The church had infamously made headlines in 2015 after it said it does not support the LGBTQI+ lifestyle.
According to Variety, Hillsong’s global pastor Brian Houston had said that he “holds to traditional Christian thoughts on gay lifestyle and gay marriage” and “God’s word is clear that marriage is between a man and a woman”.
Page, who came out as gay in 2014 and is married to choreographer Emma Portner, took to Twitter to slam Pratt and Hillsong. “Oh. K. Um. But his church is infamously antiLGBTQ, so maybe address that too?” she wrote.
A number of other Christian celebrities such as Justin and Hailey Bieber, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, and Selena Gomez, are also closely associated with Hillsong. The church was founded in Australia but now has locations in New York City and Los Angeles.
