After shoot, it’s time for music launch in Lucknow!

All-India music launch of film ‘Lafangey Nawab’, shot in Lucknow last year, was held in the state capital recently. Lead actors Robin Sohi and Larissa Chakz were here for the launch with film director Sanoj Mishra and producers Mahi Anand and Arpit Awasthi.

“Since the film was shot in Lucknow, we decided the allIndia music launch from here. The city is special to me as this is my fifth film in this city— ‘Prem Vidhrohi’ with Ravi Kishan, ‘Gandhigiri’ with Om Puri, Sanjay Mishra and Mukesh Tiwari, ‘Dharma Ke Saudagar’ with Ravi Kishan and ‘Raam Ki Janambhoomi’,” says the director.

Talking about the film, lead actor Robin says, “We have shot the entire film in Lucknow except one song which was shot in Shimla. We shot the film in two schedules of 15 days each in April and in October. The film has been shot across the state capital and old city has been beautifully captured by the director.”

The actor says that the film have multiple genres. “We can’t put the film in one bracket. It has a beautiful father-son relationship. I play a spoilt brat of a rich businessman who is passionate about music. The film has songs, comedy, romance, action and a murder mystery too,” he adds.

Lafangey Nawab has two heroines namely Ritam Bharadwaj and Lareeza. “It has a beautiful love triangle. I

really can’t talk about the role as it has a mystery angle to it too. The suspense revolves around my character so discussing anything will take away the thrill from the film,” says Lareeza, who originally hails from Assam but was brought up in West Bengal and is now settled in Bengaluru.

“The voice to the music is given by Palak Muchchal, Shahid Mallya, Altamash and Deepak Kumar Sharma. Three of the songs are composed by Ali Faizal while one has been composed by Danish Ali, says the director during the music launch. The film will hit screens later this year

Mishra’s next film ‘Kashi to Kashmir’ will also be shot in Lucknow from next month. “We have shot the film in real locations in Kashmir valley as it’s based on 1989-era when Kashmiri Pandits were displaced. We have also shot in Varanasi. Lucknow is next in the row. TV actor Vikas Chaudhary plays the lead in the film with South Indian actor Shravni Sahay.
