Fassbender’s great working relationship with Chastain
Actor Michael Fassbender has said he had a great time working with actor Jessica Chastain in Dark Phoenix.

Actor-writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who recently boarded the Bond 25 project as a writer, has said her motive is to make female characters in the franchise feel “real”. Waller-Bridge will be credited as a writer alongside Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z Burns and Cary Joji Fukunaga, who will also direct the film. The 33-year-old actor
mutant Erik M Lehnsherr, also known as Magneto, who will be back in Dark Phoenix.
“It was great to have Chastain join us. We didn’t really have a lot of scenes together; just a few moments together in the final act of the movie,” Fassbender said in a statement.
“She is present with Jean [Dark Phoenix, played by Sophie Turner], and so it mainly was acting beats that I had any interaction with her character, to be fair. There’s a very technical aspect to it, you’ve got to make sure that the timings are right and knowing that a lot of things are going to be added in later. It’s writer is best known for creating hit series such as Fleabag and Killing Eve. During her appearance on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter Podcast, Waller-Bridge said, “It’s such an exciting story and it’s just been a thrill to work on.” Bond films have a poor track record when it comes to the portrayal of its female characters but there has been a shift in recent times. And Waller-Bridge hopes to continue in that direction. “It’s mainly about making them feel like real people, you know? I think Daniel’s films have had really fantastic Bond girls, so it’s just keeping it up,” she said, adding that she will “see what (she) can sneak in” in terms of feminist humour. Bond 25 will mark Daniel Craig’s fifth outing as the famed fictional British spy. Oscar winning actor Rami Malek is playing the villain in the film.

The movie is said to be the “culmination” of all the movies made under the X-Men franchise. It will see the mutants, including Professor Xavier Charles, also known as Professor X (played by James McAvoy), and Magneto, divided over whether to save or destroy Jean Grey as her powers get dangerously out of control.
The film is written and directed by Simon Kinberg and also stars James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and others.
