THE TOUCH OF THE GOLDEN ERA

It was in 2006 when my father quit music. The torch was then passed on to us. When we were offered this song, we knew it that dad needs to make a comeback. The brief was to add those ’90s elements in a 2019 song. I had never handled a huge orchestra before so I was very nervous when I experienced its might. However, when my dad arrived, he literally took fifteen minutes to arrange everything.

APT FOR ALL GENERATIONS The theme was separation and heartbreak, so the lyrics had to mean that. The voice and the music had to justify it. The makers of the film only wanted that and nothing else to be felt in the song. Armaan’s soothing voice and Kunaal Vermaa, who has penned the lyrics made it happen, the audience’s positive response has proven it.
